WWE Royal Rumble 2015 Predictions – Who will main event Wrestlemania 31?

Time to get back into the swing of things with more predictions for the next WWE event taking place this Sunday, the 2015 WWE Royal Rumble. Who will walk out as the WWE World Heavyweight Champion? Who will challenge the champion at Wrestlemania 31? Equipped with my WWE branded crystal ball, I am here to tell you who is going to take home the glory on Sunday.

Pre-Show: The New Day vs Tyson Kidd, Cesaro, and Adam Rose

Tyson Kidd and Cesaro have put on some good matches on the WWE B shows lately, and Adam Rose has sunk further and further since debuting, so WWE decided now was a good time to team these three up. I’m not opposed to the pairing because it at least gives the three something to do, how it came together is the baffling part. The New Day has sunk quicker than Adam Rose has, with completely silent crowds not caring a bit. The jist of what I’m saying here is that it doesn’t really matter who wins here, because all lose. However, there are some legs in the Tyson Kidd and Cesaro tag team, so I’m going to go with them.

Winner: Tyson Kidd, Cesaro, and Adam Rose

The New Age Outlaws vs The Ascension

If you want to make an argument about who is less over between The Ascension and The New Day, I’d have no clue who to pick. The Ascension only debuted a few weeks ago and has seemingly already been given up on. After being destroyed on Monday’s Raw by the NWO, APA, and the New Age Outlaws, this match was put together. I assume the Ascension is winning this match, only because there is no reason for the Outlaws to.

Winner: The Ascension

Paige and Natalya vs The Bella Twins

The Bella Twins don’t like Paige and Natalya because they don’t. I have seen no other explanation. Perhaps this plays out on Total Divas at some point but that doesn’t make this match more compelling in the current day. The only finish I can think of is either Paige or Natalya pinning Nikki to set up a title match at an upcoming show.

Winner: Paige and Natalya

The Usos vs The Miz and Damien Mizdow for the WWE Tag Team Championship

I thought the Divas match seemed pointless until I read that this match was happening. The Miz team and The Usos have fought each other on TV and PPV seemingly a million times. I used to regularly watch WWE Main Event, and the show was all about these four fighting each other constantly, not to mention their matches on Raw and Smackdown. I wish for someone to win and then these four never fight each other ever again. Usos win because of incumbency.

Winner: The Usos

Brock Lesnar vs John Cena vs Seth Rollins for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship

I have gone back and forth on who will win this match, and this is the first WWE World Title match in a long time where the winner does not seem inevitable to me. Brock Lesnar’s possible face turn on Monday’s Raw did not help trying to predict this but in a way, it also made it easier.

Winner: John Cena

Who Leaves as Champion: Seth Rollins, after cashing in his Money in the Bank contract on John Cena.

30 Man Royal Rumble for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship match at Wrestlemania

Possibly more intriguing than the WWE title match is the 2015 Royal Rumble match. Many contenders have made their entry into the match clear but only two men have stories and real intrigue heading in. Daniel Bryan never lost his WWE World Heavyweight Championship, being stripped of it in June of last year unfairly after being sidelined with a near career ending injury. Roman Reigns… Well. He wants the championship I guess. Roman Reigns has been the clear favorite to win the 2015 Royal Rumble ever since the summer of last year. So having Daniel Bryan end up the winner would be a change of plans from WWE, which they may need to do after all.  I don’t think they will (despite what I may want) but what happens in the aftermath is anyone’s guess.

Prediction: Roman Reigns
